it anything which I know to be false or do not believe to be true.

On the 4th of December 1989 the item FARRANT A was delivered to the
laboratory by Mr. Farrant, Officer of H.M. Customs and Excise 
Investigation Division, London.

DESCRIPTION
Two clear plastic bags, each under plomb seal EAST ANGLIA 18, and each
containing two packages.  Each package comprised brown powder wrapped in
clear plastic and brown adhesive tape, I removed the brown powder from the
four packages, combined it to form one lot and labelled this CAIN 7342/89.
I signed the label and returned the item FARRANT A to Mr. Farrant later
the same day.

RESULT OF THE EXAMINATION
CAIN 7342/89 - the brown powder of net weight 2.02kg (two point zero two
kilograms) contains a minimum of 10% (ten per cent) by weight of
PHENOBARBITONE and a minimum of 2% (two per cent) by weight: of
METHAQUALONE.

METHAQUALONE and PHENOBARBITONE (a 5,5 disubstituted barbituric acid) are
controlled by the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

I removed a 20g (twenty gram) representative sample of the brown powder
from CAIN 7342/89 and labelled it CAIN 7342/89 SAMPLE. I also removed a
further 20g (twenty gram) sample of the brown powder for inclusion in the
laboratory reference collection.

After the examination I signed the labels and sealed each item under
plomb GC11.
